About school
The school prepares students mainly in the field of gastronomy (3 or 4 years). Theoretical training takes place in the school
building in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, practical training in the Praque hotel in Nový Jičín, which is 20km far from Frenštát.
Besides usual classrooms there are also special classrooms: 2 language labs (German and English), 3 computer labs (1 of them
is for teaching gastronomy), training kitchen and confectionery and a classroom where students are taught to lay tables and serve
guests.
Students from distant towns or villages can live in the school hostel, which has 104 beds.

International programmes
For a few years running the school has been involved in European educational programmes: Socrates, Leonardo da Vinci, TANDEM
(coordination centre of exchanges of young Czech and German people with its seats in Pilsner and Regensburg). Since 2007 both
Socrates and Leonardo programmes have been interconnected with Longlife Learning Programme (LLP). Within the programme and
mobility projects mentioned above our students have already visited Italy, England, Spain, Germany and teachers have gone through
educational stays in Italy. This year we´ve applied for a project called "Gastronomy without limits". If it´s accepted, our
students will set out for Slovakia, France, Latvia, Germany and Hungary in spring next year.
